These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the AlarmLink Labs mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By creating an account, downloading, installing, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.


1. Nature of the Services — Self-Monitoring Only

The Services provide software tools that allow users to monitor and control their own alarm and security systems.

IMPORTANT:

  • We are not a monitoring center
  • We do not monitor alarm signals
  • We do not verify alarms
  • We do not dispatch police, fire, or emergency services
  • We do not guarantee emergency notification delivery

You are solely responsible for monitoring alerts and contacting emergency responders.


2. No Life-Safety Guarantee

The Services are provided as a convenience tool only.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • The Services may not operate without interruption
  • Notifications may be delayed or not delivered
  • Internet, cellular, power, or device failures may prevent alerts
  • Security systems may fail to detect or prevent incidents

The Services are not a substitute for insurance, professional monitoring, or emergency services.


3. Eligibility

You must:

  • Be at least 18 years old (or legal age in your jurisdiction)
  • Have authority to use the monitored property and devices
  • Provide accurate account information


4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Maintain secure passwords and account credentials
  • Keep contact and notification settings updated
  • Maintain your alarm hardware and internet connection
  • Test your system regularly
  • Respond to alerts and contact emergency services when needed

You are responsible for all activity under your account.


5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt to hack, disrupt, or overload systems
  • Reverse engineer or copy the software
  • Interfere with other users’ access
  • Upload malicious code


6. Third-Party Devices and Integrations

The Services may connect to third-party alarm panels, sensors, cameras, or smart devices.

We do not guarantee compatibility, uptime, or performance of third-party hardware or services.


7. Subscription and Billing (If Applicable)

If you purchase a subscription:

  • Fees are billed in advance
  • Fees are non-refundable unless required by law
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
  • You may cancel through your app store or account settings


8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

By using the Services, you consent to data collection and processing as described in that policy.


9. Service Availability

We may:

  • Modify or discontinue features
  • Perform maintenance
  • Suspend access for security or misuse

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.


10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law:

AlarmLink Labs is not liable for:

  • Failure of alarm notifications
  • Failure to detect or prevent incidents
  • Property loss or damage
  • Personal injury or death
  • Third-party device failures
  • Network or power outages
  • Data loss

If liability is found, it is limited to the amount you paid for Services in the previous 12 months.


11. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold harmless AlarmLink Labs from claims resulting from:

  • Your misuse of the Services
  • Your failure to respond to alerts
  • Your violation of laws or these Terms
  • Your use of third-party devices


12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.”

We disclaim all warranties, including:

  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Merchantability
  • Non-infringement
  • Continuous or error-free operation


13. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraud or abuse
  • Security risks
  • Legal requirements

You may stop using the Services at any time.


14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of: Colorado

Legal disputes will be resolved in courts located in: Colorado


15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically.
Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
